July 2014, Early moring images of meadow flowers near Crested Butte, Colorado. It looks like some Composites, Asters, Larkspur and others. I usually shot flowers on cloudy days or in open shade, this keeps the image free of hot spots.

August 2014, Grenadier Mountaion Range near Molas Lake. The mountains include East Trinity Peak, Trinity Peak, West Trinity Peak, Vestal Peak and Arrow Peak. These peaks are part of the Weminuche Wilderness located in the San Jaun Mountains, southwest Colorado. The Grenadiers are a subrange of the Needles Moutains which is a subrange of the San Jaun Mountains. Vestal is 13,864 ft, Arrow is 13,803 feet.

Micro Burst over Yankee Boy Basin Colorado
July 2014, This lone cloud was tracking over the mountains and suddenly it let loose a micro burst of rain. This is common phenomenon in the mountains. Yankee Boy Basin is full of wild flowers in July. Some years are better than others depending on snow fall ans summer rains.
